Getting Started

Fill in the form at partner.sms.md with your company name, IDNO and contact details. After review, a manager will reach out to sign the agreement — typically within 1 business day.

Yes. SMS.MD works exclusively with legal entities under an official contract. Private individuals are not served. A contract is required regardless of sending volume.

After signing the contract, you receive test credits — enough to send a few SMS messages to your own number and verify delivery. There is no separate sandbox: testing is done in the live environment.

In your dashboard, go to "Sender Names" and submit a request. An Alpha-name is 3–11 characters that recipients see instead of a phone number. Registration with operators takes up to 5 business days.

Yes, there is no limit on sender names. Each is registered separately with operators. Using different names for different message types works well — notifications, marketing, OTP.

The primary market is Moldova, with direct connections to Moldcell, Orange, and Unite. International sending is also available. Contact your manager for the full country list and rates.

Contact support with the required changes. If the changes affect the contract (bank details, company name), a supplementary agreement will be issued.

Billing & Pricing

The minimum deposit is 500 MDL. Unused funds do not expire — they remain on your balance indefinitely.

In your dashboard, create an invoice for the required amount and pay by bank transfer. After receiving the payment confirmation, your balance is credited within 1 business day.

No. You pay only for sent SMS messages. There are no setup fees, monthly subscriptions, or top-up commissions.

The base API rate is from 0.30 MDL per SMS. Ready-made integrations (amoCRM, Bitrix24, Altegio) are from 0.34–0.38 MDL. All prices include 20% VAT. Full pricing is on the pricing page.

Yes, automatically. If an SMS is not delivered within its validity period, the cost is returned to your balance without contacting support. This applies to all clients by default.

Yes. For significant sending volumes, pricing is reviewed individually. Contact your manager with your estimated monthly volume.

After each payment, an invoice and fiscal invoice (factura fiscală) with 20% VAT are issued. Documents are available in your dashboard for download.

Sending SMS

One SMS holds 70 Cyrillic or 160 Latin characters. Longer messages are split into parts, each billed separately (Cyrillic: 67 chars/part, Latin: 153).

Yes. Specify variables in the message template — name, order number, amount, date — and they are substituted automatically from your data at send time. Available in the dashboard and via API.

When creating a campaign in the dashboard, select "Schedule" and set the date and time. The system will send messages automatically at the specified moment.

Operators block messages containing advertising for prohibited products, fraudulent content, and obvious spam. If your message was blocked, contact support.

In your dashboard under "Contacts", upload a file in CSV or XLSX format. The system validates phone number formats and removes duplicates.

Make an HTTP POST request to our REST API with: recipient, message text, sender name, and API key. Full documentation is in your dashboard. Configure a webhook to receive delivery status updates.

Yes, international destinations are supported. Moldovan numbers (Moldcell, Orange, Unite) are billed at the standard rate. Contact your manager for other countries.

Delivery & Status

99.8% for Moldovan operators. This is a real figure based on direct connections to Moldcell, Orange, and Unite — not aggregated data through intermediaries.

On average, under 5 seconds for Moldovan operators under normal load. Delays during peak network load are possible, but the SMS is not lost.

Main reasons: the subscriber is temporarily unreachable, the number does not exist, or the subscriber blocked incoming messages. Your dashboard shows the final status of each message. Funds for undelivered SMS are refunded automatically.

The maximum time the system tries to deliver a message to an unavailable subscriber. The default is 24 hours. If delivery fails, the SMS is marked undelivered and the cost is refunded.

In your dashboard under "Sends" — the status of each message: delivered, undelivered, or processing. Via API, the status is returned in the response or sent to your webhook.

Occasional delays of 30–60 seconds are normal during peak load. If delays are systematic or exceed several minutes, contact support with example phone numbers and send times.

Yes. SMS messages are delivered to Moldovan numbers in international roaming through the standard roaming traffic of Moldcell, Orange, and Unite.

API & Integrations

The REST API works over HTTP/HTTPS and is language-agnostic. Official code examples are available for PHP, Python, Node.js and cURL. For other languages, contact technical support.

amoCRM, Bitrix24, Altegio, WordPress (WooCommerce), and Airtable (via Zapier/Make). If your platform is not listed, contact your manager — new integrations are available on request.

The key is available in your dashboard under "API" immediately after signing the contract. It is generated automatically and can be regenerated from the same section if needed.

Yes. Specify your endpoint URL in the API settings. When a message status changes, the system sends a POST request with the data. The format is described in the documentation.

The standard limit is up to 20 SMS per second. If your use case requires higher throughput, discuss increasing the limit with your manager.

Use the test credits received during registration — send SMS messages to your own number. There is no separate sandbox: testing is done in the live environment.

Yes. API sending is cheaper — from 0.30 MDL per SMS. Ready-made integrations cost slightly more (from 0.34–0.38 MDL), as they include maintenance and updates for the integration module.

Company details: full name, IDNO (or IDNP for sole traders), registered address, and banking details. Private individuals are not served — companies and sole traders only.

After each payment, an invoice and fiscal invoice (factura fiscală) with 20% VAT are issued. Documents are available in your dashboard for download or can be sent by email.

Yes. Contact support with the period you need. The statement will be prepared within 2–3 business days.

Send a written notice to the support email. Unused balance is returned to your company account within 10 business days after the termination is confirmed.

Yes. SMS.MD operates in compliance with the laws of the Republic of Moldova on personal data protection. Your clients data is not shared with third parties.

Support operates in Russian and Romanian. Requests are handled during business hours — responses typically arrive within an hour.

Send support an email with the new company details. The contract will be amended with a supplementary agreement. Until it is signed, documents continue to be issued with the old details.
